I was just wondering how long people have to wait to get results. I'm at North Middx and my bloods go to Hammersmith for testing. Over the last year it's taken longer and longer. It used to be 3-4 weeks but it's almost been 8 weeks this time. When chasing them I have found they just don't seem to have any sense of urgency or understanding of how patients feel.

BCR-ABL test results

Mine tend to take about 3-4 weeks, sometimes a little quicker. That's from Barts.
Quicker is always nicer. Do you know where the bottleneck is? i.e. has the lab report been done and the results are sitting on someone's desk for ages? Or, does the lab take a long time to get the report out? The test will be done quickly enough of course, otherwise the sample would have degraded.
David.
I don't really know how long they take to be available nowadays. I just pick them up once a month when I check in at the hospital. So that does obviously mean they're available within a month. I know though that they're available sooner than that and in the past when I wasn't going for monthly visits I have had a phone call and used to get them sent out earlier. From memory I'm thinking it used to be about 2 weeks.
I had blood taken on the 1st of March and the results were ready on the 10th. The delay was with Hammersmith from what North Middx have told me. It's the second time in a row this has happened. In August last year my bloods went missing. I was never told which hospital was at fault.
My consultant phoned with the results. It's another 0.000.
